William Conroy was most recently the Oilfield Services analyst at SMH Capital in Houston. Prior to that position, he was Director of Research and a Semiconductor industry analyst at SMH. He was the WSJ Best on the Street for Semiconductor stockpicking in 1997 and a runner-up in 1998. In 2000-2001Bill spent a year away from Wall Street as Acting CFO of RTRON, a Houston-based electronics manufacturing firm. He has an MBA and a BS in Civil Engineering, both from Texas A&M. Bill resides in Houston.
Stephen F. Berman, CFA, is a lifelong resident of New Jersey, born and raised in Passaic. He graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a bachelor's degree in accounting, and then attended the Rutgers Graduate School of Management where he received an MBA in Finance. Steve joined Pritchard Capital Partners, LLC in December 2006. He has worked for over twenty years on both the buy and sell-sides as a research analyst in equities and fixed income. Prior to joining Pritchard Capital Partners, LLC, Steve was a partner at Promethean Investment Group where he did analytical work on energy companies for investment in both the public and private portfolios. Steve lives in Towaco, New Jersey.
Veny Aleksandrov was born and raised in Bulgaria. She graduated from Sofia University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Tulane University. Veny has worked with Ernst & Young in Sofia, Bulgaria as an auditor and with Lafarge Paris as a corporate strategy intern. She joined Pritchard Capital Partners, LLC in July 2004. Veny lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
John Abbott began his career at Ameritrade and has worked at Risk Limited and James Miller and Company, both of which are boutique consulting firms focused on the energy sector. In early 2009, he started working for Pritchard Capital Partners in equity research. He received his BA in Asian Studies and Economics from Cornell University and his MBA from SMU. Currently, John resides in Houston, Texas.
Gail Nicholson began her career at Pritchard Capital in March 2008, working in various support functions at the firm. In March 2010, she began working as an E&P research associate under Steve Berman. Gail was promoted to Research Analyst in January 2012. She received a BS in Economics, a BA in International Affairs and Math minor from The George Washington University. Gail was born and raised in Maryland and currently resides in Arlington, Virginia.
Jane’s career encompasses a VP of Institutional Sales position at Oppenheimer & Co. where she developed a system that integrated securities news with the research department. At her next position, First Boston Co., Jane formed the Stock Selection Committee to evaluate, develop marketing strategies, and assist in framing analysts presentations. From 1989 to 1994 Jane worked at Drexel Burnham and Lehman Brothers and was responsible for the effective distribution of research to the sales force via morning meeting, break in call, and mid-day updates. From 1994 to 2003 Jane was a Managing Director and Equity Research/Manager of the liaison desk at CIBC World Markets. Her responsibilities emphasized the critical role the liaison plays in the origination and distribution of sell side research to clients. In this role Jane worked with analysts, traders, and the sales team adding value by shaping and helping refine the research product. Jane’s previous position was at Soleil where she ran the morning research call and authored research summaries and theme pieces for the sales team. Many of her daily duties revolved around the successful interface with 30 equity analysts covering over 300 securities. Jane has a MBA from New York University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the NYSSA and CFA Institute. She resides in New York City.
